ABS Removing?
I have an '89TII that I'd like to remove the stock ABS system, including the pump and all the affiliated braking stuff on the rotors. What do you have to do to in order for this to work properly without compromising the stock braking system... Or is the only proper way to do this is by removing the entire stock system and replace with an aftermarket system.
In the meantime, however, can I just remove the pump so I can free up some space and do the rest later or will that mess up the stuff around the rotor?
I do not have the stock ecu any longer and was planning on going to an aftermarket braking system anyway, with complete rotors, calipers, etc,.
Thanks everyone.

I was thinking about doing the same thing myself as my abs pump is leaking. After looking at it, I think the best way to go is to get the brake lines, proportioning valve, and master cylinder from another five lug suspension without abs. I think that would be the easiest and most painless way without compromising safety. I'm certainly no authority on this and I'd like to know if anyone has an easier way to do this.
