Question about using a S5 13bt ecu for running a stock 13b-re

Hi guys, haven't been on in a long while. Haven been piecing together my engine. A stock rebuilt and painted 13b-re and a freshly built s5 manual turbo II trans.

In a few more days I'll have the paint work in my engine bay finished and will be dropping it in for it's first test fit...

Ultimately I'd like to be going single Turbo and will use a haltech p2k to run it but, it will take a while to earn the funds to do that. Nothing crazy, I'll be happy with anything around 330-350whp keeping it also real streetable.

Being tapped out at the moment (and likely broke until next spring with the dreaded holidays around the corner,) I was thinking about using a stock S5 ecu to run the stock setup rebuilt 13b-re with the twins temporarly. I understand I will loose the sequential system which I'm ok with. Should also provide a good chance to break the engine in.

I've came across a few places such as FC3Spro that say it is ok to do so but, never anything more elaborating on the subject. If anyone could chime in on this topic I'd really appreciate it. Search is taking me all over the place and sometimes timed out.

Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't risk it. The timing maps on a stock ECU are not appropriate for anything but a stock S5 turbo running stock boost. If you just want something temporary to move the car around, it'd be fine, but I would not put it under much load.
