About the cosmo

the other day i was reading an article about the 3 Rotor Cosmo, it was saying how the engine made 250 lb ft tq @ 1k rpm, and then made peak torque at 3500rpm.

it also said the the standard models were RWD and the automatic model was AWD, i didnt think a rotary could have AWD, can someone prove or disprove that article??

I am not sure about the Cosmo, but any engine could be made to work in a AWD vehicle. Just because it is a rotary should not make nay difference.

There were FB and FC AWD rally cars built by Millen as I recall...

The JC Cosmo with the 20B-REW was only offered in rear wheel drive and an automatic transmission. The article you read could have been in reference to a modified race version of some type.

The stock 20B-REW made its max rated torque of 296ft-lbs at only 3000rpm, and maintained over 90% of this torque up to redline.
