Able to remove brake caliper with one stud remaining
1987 TII
4 pot, driver side caliper
Im wondering, before I dive in to it..
my top brake caliper attatchment bolt is seized beyond belief. I cant get the knuckle it bolts in to heated because the caliper itself is acting like a giant heatsink.
if I remove the bottom bolt, and chop the head off the top bolt, will I be able to rotate the entire caliper counterclockwise on the remaining stud (until it is upsidedown) and slide it off? I may have to hack the dust shield a bit I realise, but thats ok...
has anyone ever had to do this?
