AAGH, conversion questions.....

Well, I was given an s5 FC by my neighbor. It has an S5 T2 swapped into it already. I currently have a wrecked 1987 t2 in my garage. Is it possible to swap the s4 tranny/ driveshaft/ turbo rearend onto my S5. Also, what would be needed to do such a thing. I have searched for hours on a thread, etc.. on the actual swap itself. Nothing, The car performs well, but with no LSD- shorter gears, and puny halfshafts. I dont want to push it, but I love the car, what can be done?

Should bolt up no problem. As far as strength goes, unless you are making obscene amounts of power you won't have any problem with the s4 drivetrain.

If it is an n/a and a turbo chassis, than you cannot use the different driveshaft because it is a different diameter where it slides into the tranny. I'm not exactly sure about the halfshafts though.

the only thing I would do is swap your s4 t2 differntial over. Its a clutch lsd compared to the s5 vlsd.
