im going to race my friend when my car is done. he bought 05 350z 2 weeks ago and just started dumping money in it he has a procharger and frount mount intercooler stock motor just injectors and a fuel pump he is pushing 385whp@8PSI

I have a 91 mazda rx7 TII brigeport frount mount intercooler stock s5 turbo with a 60-1wheel and housing ext wastegate 750cc prime 1600cc sec fuel injectors walbro 255 fuel pump aeromotive fuel reg 3gen upper intake manifold with custom single 90mm throttle body and a microtech LT10 ecu with a great tune

will i be able to take him his car is fast i have not drove mine yet with all the new parts all i had be for was stock with fuel pump injectors and a SAFC tell me what you guys think thanks

Racing has a lot to do with driver skill. Just because someone has more power doesn't mean they will win. Hell, I've outrun cars in my old 78 beater pickup. You'll just have to race him and find out who wins.

 

No problem, that 350 is a freaking tank. With those mods and a good tune you should be pushing more than 300 easy, and weigh almost 800 lbs. less. That is a conservative estimate.

 

How many lbs o' boost ya running?

You will get your *** handed to you at 4.5 psi.

You with decent power will be a completely different story (power to weight wise).......The 350z is a german battle tank with Jared (before subway) driving.

Alright, what are you calling "race" and what are you calling "track"? Are you going on Laguna Seca Mazda speedway for a 24 hour enduro? Are you hill climbing at Pikes Peak? Are you running the public roads at the Isle of Man? Or are you doing school-boy, "let's hang out at Auto-Zone and then peel out at street lights on a Friday night because our lives are just that pathetic"? If the latter, go sell you car and give the proceeds to charity. If any of the former, it all depends on his and your skill level, preparation, tires, spares, tuning, etc.

The only way to know is to race? How much track time have you had? Do you have any licenses? Do you have any podium finishes? More detailed information would be great, but once again just race and see.

 

Funny, but not true. Nissan is partially owned by Renault. That does not make them a French company any more than Mazda is an American company being that Ford owns part of Mazda. It's just like Audi owning Lamborghini, Lambo's are still very much Italian.

Edit: Found it, "Renault has a stake of 44.4 percent in the Japanese automaker Nissan, while Nissan in turn has a 15 percent stake (non-voting) in Renault". Renault is by far the largest shareholder in Nissan.

Ford only owns 13 percent of Mazda... not quite the same as the Nissan situation lol. Oh and the Ford CEO isn't running Mazda, unlike Renault and Nissan.
