91 TII engine dies immediatley after startup

Need some help. I recently removed my powersteering and airconditioning and at the same time installed a Fluidyne radiator. Tonight I tried to start up my car again, but the engine always dies immediately after startup. Even when I rev it for a while to 3000 rpm, as soon as I take my foot of the gas the engine dies. Other than that the engine is still running as smooth as ever.
I already checked the ECU for error, but nothing came up. I also looked at all hoses to check for a vacuum leak, but can 't seem to find anything wrong. I'm really stumped here, so any help is more than welcome.
thx

Sounds like you knocked your AFM wire loose/or you have a vacuum leak.

The AFM connector was unhooked when I tried to start the first time, but this caused a lot of smoke and very heavy running. When I start it now it runs smooth, but just dies immediately.
What are the most likely places to check for vacuum leaks? Would it be most likely that I knocked off some hose somewhere? Any other possibilities?
Thanks for the help

check around the intercooler. There are some vac lines attached to that. There is one for the powersteering.

Ah!!! It'll probably be the one for the powersteering then. Where is it exactly located? And what do I do with it now the P/S is out?

Had a look yesterday evening and it was indeed the TID pipe. I hadn't noticed that the elbow was a two piece jobby. Reconnected and the engine fired up immediately.
Now it's on to the next problem. Some piece of plastic seems to be smoldering somewhere at the back of the engine close to the cat, but I can't see what it is. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Part of your O2 sensor wire? Or some other wiring?

I had thought about the O2 wire, but that's not it, must be some other wire or tube. I'll take my IC off tonight so I can have a closer look ...
