Is a 91' convertible lsd diff as good as a Turbo 2 diff?

FL Is a 91' convertible lsd diff as good as a Turbo 2 diff?

Are these 2 differentials the same? 1991 convertible lsd and a 88 t2 differential? Sorry for my ignorance!

91 convertible diff = 4.1 open 7" differential (no LSD available)
88 Turbo diff = 4.1 clutch type LSD 8" differential

So based on that no they are not the same... but remember if you have the 91 vert, the 88 Turbo diff won't fit without a custom drive shaft, or swapping flanges and still needing to put in the Turbo drive axles

What I have now is a t2 tranny with a 1990 gtu rear. I am picking up a t2 differential and axles tomorrow. Thanks guys!
