will a 91 compressor work in an 86?

There were two different compressors used on our cars.
1. Nippon Denso-pulley has one bolt in the center of it and is painted black
2. Sanden-Has 3 or 4 rivet looking things on the pulley which is unpainted

Make sure you get the right pulley. I believe that the freon connections are different between the two.

 

i suspected something liek that cuz i noticed teh pulleys are different..thanks!

 

The bracket that holds it to the engine is different too.
