90 Vert Problems
Hi, please help, can't seem to find a problem why my car is running rich. I was always bad since i bought the car i was getting 13-15 mpg with only intake. Changed plugs and wires and O2 sensor. It got a little bit better. I drove to florida and got a bonez hi-flow cat and got rid of the pre-cat and i was getting 17mpg. The day after i came back the car was hesitating and backfiring. The next day it was fine again. But ever since then i only get like 7 mpg. If anyone can help please do.

Come on I know someone knows the answer
I'll try, how are the grounds? and Are you haveing any problems with the car flooding or hesitating when first starting it for the day?
Injectors could be leaking or sticking open, MAF could be breaking down...
Are you getting any codes on the ECU?

This is a shot in the dark, but try checking the connectors to your ECU. Convertibles have a tendancy to get wet inside and it'll somewhat corrode the copper in the harness. A little baking soda & water or a Tarnex soaking can make everything good again.
When I checked mine, the connecters were blue/green like the Statue of Liberty.
