90 S5 N/A is it worth it?

i found a 90 S5 N/A
white w/ black leather all options
car has been sitting (never moved) in this guy's garage for 3 years it was his wife's in college. the car was parked in the garage because it was flooded thats all. the interior looks like it came from the showroom except the sunroof is shorted out.. tires are flat and car is covered in dust. its got 92,000 babied miles what do you think its worth... its already sold to you no who??........ just wondering what everyone would pay for it if they found this bargin.......

Nice find. Is it a GXL? If it's a GXL I'd pay 3K for it on the spot.

remember this thing has not moved in 3 years. what do you think the odds are that the seals will hold, even after the atf/mm treatment...

Sweet, I hope it runs. My biggest peve when I got my car was brakes, engine, and body since I was getting it only to run around track events with. I got one with a perfect interior and now can't bring myself to gutting it..

the thing isn't going to start. I will put 10 to 1 odds on it. You said it has sat for 3 years because it was flooded? If that thing doesn't need a rebuild, then Jesus must be hiding in that block.

I'm guessing you'll have to pull start it. Thats what my dad and I had to do. Pulled it about a block and the thing fired right up. But I did'nt even try the MMO......well, good luck anyways. CJ

the car is now mine . i'm starting to think that the motor might make it .. it was flooded when parked in garage. and has not moved since . the car has been out of the elements. and basically been forgotten about for 3 years. i opened the hood and it was like showroom shine with dust. this car was babied for sure... the black leather interior is still fresh no cracks whatsoever even the seat bolsters. perfect... factory mats look brand new. i talked to the couple and they are the 2nd owners, her father was the original owner.. Thy told me the car was only driven in the summer and was always garaged..
much thanks the the rotary godds.......

in the next couple of days i will>>
fill the motor with m/m
drop the gas tank/clean
purge fuel lines and re-prime
charge the battery

oh yea and i'm gonna park it next to my black TII..
yen and yang..

Babied to some might not mean babied to others...Just because its clean dosn't mean they took care of the engine or bothered checking the oil or changed the coolant...Why would anyone who has babied a car leave a flooded car setting for 3 years?
It might be ok, but I doubt it, the gas in the oil from being flooded isn't good for those seals...
The gas has gone bad in your tank, perhaps now clogging your injectors and fuel filter...
Good luck but I hope you didn't pay much...
Let us know how it goes...

get it started, see how it feels...drive it home, change the oil and filter, air filter, plugs, wires.
