90 fuel filter

Whats the easiest way to get the fuel filter off. It seems very cramped. Did most of you go from underneath the car? Did you take anything off to get to it.

You need to release most of the pressure in the fuel lines before disconnecting the filter hoses. Get a copy of the factory service manual at one of the links in the FAQ to learn how to do that. Although the procedure in the FSM is a PITA. Someone here may have a simpler method.

go under driver side of car lossen the 10mm bolt on bottom of bracket, unclamp the bottom fuel hose and wiggle it off( point the other way away from face) fuel will shoot out but not alot. go above car drivers side undo top 10mm nut on bracket and pull the whole thing out to up top. there undo the top clamp wriggle off line and the 10mm clamp itself, slide out the old put in the new. MAKE SURE THE BOTTOM SAYS IN WITH A ARROW. reinstall the opposite. easiest way i found by doing this procedure quiete a bit.
use wd-40 to lube up the lines they will slide right on, when done start the car check for leaks.
have fun and keep fuel out of the eyes it really burns

Be sure to wear safety glasses. Gas in your eyes ruins your day.
