The 89-91 tailights were actually 'repairable'. If one part of it was cracked, you could order that single part and replace it. The replacement procedure would be the same as resealing it.

You need to get a hair dryer or a heat gun. The lens is held in with a glue similar to 'hot glue gun' glue. Take your heating tool of choice and heat the lens until the glue warms up and you can pull the lens completely off. Then remove all the glue, wad it up into a ball, and roll it out into a string to re-apply it to the tailight assembly. With the sting laid out in place, heat it back up. When it's hot & soft, press the lens back into place. Wait for it to cool, and you should be done.

Good luck!

No, I never tired it.
I came across a 'surplus' new tail light assembly and decided to just replace the whole unit.

Next answer: The place I got it from is no longer around.
