looking at a 89 gxl with a bad apex car has 130+ is it a good year for the rx7? is 1000.00 to much for a car with no rust and in good shape

 

bad apex seal means you have to rebuild it. I would pay around2-400 dollars for it.

 

I paid 400 for mine with a bad apex in the rear and it was in mint condition!

 

bad apex = blown engine bud. don't you love ppl who will list a car for sale with a bad apex seal rather than a blown engine just to try and get the ppl that don't know better?

as for the 89 gxl...its as good as any other yr. 20 more hp than the 86-88 NA cars but no LSD like the older GXL

 

actually bingoboy, GXLs came standard with lsd's

 

actually no, series 5 GXLs did not come with LSD's standard. in fact they weren't even listed as optional on S5 NA's. they came standard on the GTUs and the T2 in series 5.
