Hey Guys, my 89 convert drivers window will come up about 4" and bind w/ a severe sounding grinding noise and go no higher; however, it will retract back down when you press on the switch. Please tell me whats the problem and how to fix it .Thanks wwwfwweeksnc@aol.com

 

Is it safe to assume that you've taken the door interior off and looked at the motor assembly? Or not?

 

im going thru the samething right now! my 91 vert sounded like it was making coffee. pull the door panel off and peel away that plastic crap then replug the switch back in the harness. check to see if you can find where the cable is binded. sometimes you can fix it in the door. or like me, you have to take out the windo and the motor and fix it on your kitchen table. total pain in the butt.
