89 Conv Cigarette Lighter
Hi,
Does anyone know the wiring for an cigarette lighter in an 89 Convertible? When my car was stolen, the thieves pulled out the cigarette lighter and cut the wires. There are 4 wires: 2 black wires, 1 blue (with a stripe, can't remember the color), one yellow (also with a stripe, can't remember the color).
I believe there may have been a light assembly behind the lighter (??) to illuminate the orange ring around the lighter. If so, some of the above wires may be for that light.
Thanks for any help!
Dave

Well i'll give this a shot, this sounds like the same color wiring in my first gen, haven't looked at the TII's yet.
Black-Ground
Blue w/stripe-12V power
Yellow-Illumination around the cig lighter.
Hope that helps, a voltmeter would just confirm or disprove what I just wrote though, make sure you tape em off till you get it fixed. No reason to blow fuses

Ummmmm, thanks! But, unfortunately, the clock doesn't work and the A/C is blowing warm air which, in the workshop manual, would seem to indicate that the CIGAR fuse is already blown. Thanks for the help with the wiring!!
