I got a prject 87 t2. The water is mixing with the oil very well. I found a jdm 89 t2 motor complete for a very good price. My question is will it go into the 87t2 with out any serious complications. I know the turbo and exhaust manifold is different. Is there anything else I should consider before getting this motor. Or will I spend more trying to get this one in than just putting the one made for the car in?

Sure, go for it...
Minor differences - you'll need to reroute the wastegate vacuum line, as your vehicle does not have the capabilities to control the boost solenoid.&nbsp Other than that, the only other minor "problem" is the water temp sensor for the gauge is a male spade on the 1989-1991 Kouki engines, while the Zenki motors have a male bullet.

that and the OMP will have to be changed from your 87 motor, since the 89 motor uses electronic operation vs. the mechanical OMP on the 87

Isn't , not having boost control a bad thing ? Is there an additional something that needs to be added for this?

Why?&nbsp It's default to 5.5psi of boost if the car is stock...
