Something ive been wondering about was the differences between the 88 and 89 rx-7's what causes that added +1000RPM to the redline and that +14 hp from 146 to 160 in the n/a ? is it a mechanical difference or just diffenently tuned?

I'll guess the lighter rotors and higher compression in 89 had something to do with it.

 

ohh thats cool i thought it was just a ecu difference like mazda kinda modded it but i guess not
