Hi, I just moved to Tallahassee Florida and i brought my rx-7 with me. Unfortunately, it wont start for me though. It will turn and almost seems to start but it just wont go all the way. I smell gas and some exhaust comes out when i crank. I just charged the battery so its not that. I have no idea what is going on and will apreciate any help

What year is it? If it's an 1989-1992 try pressing the gas pedal to the floor. If it's an 86-88 it may just be flooded and there is a quick fix for that. Do a search for "flooding" in this forum.

Where are you on the maintenance. Have you had the 30 or 60K mile services done on time (they apply at an mileage)? It may just be dirty spark plugs.

There are some good rx7 mechanics in florida. Try the south east rx7 club or ask here for a listing.

 

You didn't mess with your MAF did you? I did and mine did exactly what you are saying.... one tiny little metal connector.... Grr Took me a bit to figure it out... but I doubt it's your problem..
