I just bought this 88 vert that is suppose to be very rare I hear. It is the dark blue. How rare is this in a 5 speed? ALso didn't all vert come with leather seats or was this an option. Mine does not have the leather seats with the speakers in the headrest? What is the lowdown on this?

The only blue ones in 88 were in 5A Sapphire Blue Metallic. Which was kinda dirty medium blue

But in 89-91 you could get either 5D Harbor Blue Metallic or 5N Brave Blue MC.

As far as options, there was a GXL package that included the leather seats, head rest speakers, leather and tilt steering wheel, CD, cruise, luminated keyholes. This package pushed the weight up another 100lbs.

I don't know about the US,but in Canada the model you describe was the "cheap stripper"---crap seats,crap radio and not particularly rare.

 

the 88 verts came 2 ways
1. coth seats, no cd, no headrest speakers
2. leather, cd, etc

Yeah i have the first one seats(not leather), no cd, no headrest speaker. Let me ask you this. Are the speakers the same as the one w/ leather seats & headrest speakers. Or is their an upgrade in speakers too. Anybody know???????

 

Door and dash speakers are the same wether the car had headrest speakers or not
