i got an 88 t2 with a larger turbo and intercooler and BOV. full exhaust, intake,air blower eliminator and when i bought the cari filled up with 87 octane and on the way home the fuel pump died i think and when i brought it to the shop they said it was the fuel pump and they put it in and the car wont start. its getting fuel and spark and when they put the tranny fluid in the spark plugs it starts but dies again. they said there was fuel in the oil or sumthin how i dont kno the engine was rebuilt last year but anyway they said there was cylinder wash and they put the tranny fluid in to gret rid of it. just let me know if their bullshittin me cuz im goin there 2morrow to screw wit it. any help to get it started would be greatly appeciated.

 

One question. Why would you put 87 octane in a rotary with performance mods? My stock T2 doesn't like 87.

As for the not starting thing, are your plugs fouled? I had to change the plugs to get mine to start when I first got it. Give that a whirl and let us know.
