I Have a 88 mazda Rx7. I have tried everything that I can think of. I can turn the key and the starter turns the motor, but the can will not fire. I can hear i puffing sound of of the tailpipe. but nothing else. Any ideas Please help Thanks

hey man i tried that site. And.. it didn't work. I'm tring to kill all fuel and get the timing rigth. Suggestions. Or do you know anyone in San Antonio who would like to help. ?

 

unplug the fuel pump
start it
let it die
attempt to start it a few more times untill theres no fuel pressure left
hold the throttle down all the way
start the car, as soon as it starts let your foot gently off the gas

 

Do the unflood procedure, but also:
Pull out the plugs and dry them off/clean them up. If it's flooded pretty bad, the plugs will act fouled and not want to fire. I pulled mine out today and cleaned them up, and my rebuild fired up and ran instantly.
