MA area Rotary Peoples...
Hello all,
Well I have an 88 TII w/130k and it's starting to smoke between shifts. I want to buy a new engine and turbo but I want a setup of about 300hp. I live in MA and no way in hell am I getting a Haltech in this crazy weather, unless I had a neighbor who was a Haltech master maybe. I have about 4k to spend on a good Setup. I can't figure out how much I can do with the stock ECU, either Power FC or ECU tuning(?). If anyone can tell me what type of rebiuld I should get and where(MA) to go. Also I don't know what's a good turbo setup for a daily driver that I want to haul *** in. I'm fairly knowledgable on FC's but some of you out there are ****** awesome with your info. Please let me know what I should be messing with.
Thanks Guys for the Help,
Peace.....Benny

Great,
If it cost a little more that's alright with me, I love rx7's. That sounds good scott as what youv'e suggested is right what I was looking at. Thanks for the info, when I'm ready to do this (couple weeks) I'll let ya'll know. any other info you could provide is great......Just trying to find out as much as possible from other rotary lover's.
Thanks again,
ben

I know everyone has already heard me say this a million times.
If you are good with electronics, consider a megasquirt kit. It does only fuel, but it is a fraction of the cost of a haltech and is even less than a new SAFC.
then you can get rid of that AFM. Or you could keep it, cause the MS also supports alpha-n mode now too. It will require a little hacking to get our AFM to work with it though.
or if you don't want to do a megasquirt, there are some people on the forum that are building up for a group buy for microtech ecu's. you might be interested in that. its a lot cheaper than the haltech, too.
EDIT: forgot to mention... group buy for MS is coming up soon, better make sure you know how to hold your spot for when it becomes available if you decide you want that.
