Ok I did as setzep said (thanks a ton dude)
I redrilled the hole 3 cm upward in the T2 shifter rod, and cut the excess off.
Fits and shifts perfectly Now my question is when I put it in any gear I can still turn the trans shaft pretty easily? I mean theres basically no difference between 1st and 5th ? Anyone know why? Seems since it shifts I got it together right?

Just compare the rotation on both ends, should change from gear to gear. Just turn the one end a complete turn, and see how many turns the other end turns, then proceed to do it in another gear. Whiteout might help you with this.

Yeah it does seem to spin more/faster
And reverse does make it go backwards as it should, but I didnt think it would be that easy to turn. Thought it be like a 10 speed trying to go up a hill in high gear, well you know what I mean ?

I just rebuilt the trans in my '87 TII. Yes you should be able to turn the input or output shaft easily, but only out of the car (sorry that was dumb but I had to say it.) In first gear, the output shaft should turn much faster than the input, then a little slower in second, even slower in third, and 4th should be 1:1. In fifth the output shaft turns slower than the input, hence overdrive. In neutral the input and output shafts should turn individually, as in not connected to each other. Sounds like it will work great.
