Ok im new to rotary..

just a few questions,

was that you that was keeping the car running with the gas pedal? or was it like that idling?

did you notice any small details in performance before this issue showed? like taking to long to start up?

Is that white smoke coming from the exhaust? if so, you might be burning coolant. If your buring that much, it almost sounds like your water seals might be already leaking. Which could explain the backfire i suppose.

Have you done a compression test?

Is that warning siren your low coolant buzzer? (sounds different from mine)

Miles on engine?
