88 S4 N/A..Does this edition have the injector shutoff when flooring accelerator ? ?

....and if so...is it possible that this could be activated by depressing the accelerator just a little on start up, thus causing a no start ?

Hmmm...I think I have seen other posts stating that it does....can't remember....you probably right there J-Rat....I have unflooder her like that a time or two...hmmmm....any other opinions...

No, though a bad TPS could possibly cause problems with a partial throttle start.

OK....I'll run with the Rat too...If the Rat AND Hailers are in agreement, its gotta be right...and thanks guys....now Syonyk has a point on that venue....any comments on that ?

The TPS in the S4 is more for the emissions equipment, and to tell the computer wether or not to be in closed loop. But for sake of argument, I have seen a mis-adjusted TPS do all sorts of strange things. Hell, I have seen S4s run fine without it..

yeh Good point....by the way...do you think it is possible that a very late 88 could have been equipped with some S5 goodies....
