'88 RX7 Vert-Clutch

Hey guys!
I have a quick question regarding a problem I am having with my clutch. It seems that when I am stopped at a light with the peddle to the floor the clutch tends to disengage closer and closer to the floor. It is really quite disturbing and I am afraid that I might end up rear ending someone because of this.

Anyone know what may be the cause?

Chceked you clutch fluid? Sounds like you have a leak in your system.

There is fluid in the reservoir...If I pump the peddle it is fine.

There must be a leak somewhere in the system for it to lose pressure. Have someone depress the clutch while you watch the slave cyl. (small cyl with plunger like rod on top of trans.) check to make sure it does not slowly let up pressure. Also, pull the rubber boot back and see if it is leaking from the seals. You can check the same thing with the master cyl and the clutch line. There may be a small pin hole sized leak that is really hard to spot, but that should be your problem. If it is in the clutch line, I suggest a stainless braided replacement such as the Corksport one. Hope that helps.
