88 Rx7 Hard Start

88 Rx7 Hard Start

i have a 88 rx7 that i have to pump the gas pedal rapidly while turning the ignition over to have it start but once its started sounds really nice and revs perfectly fine any suggestions on what it could be.?

My guess is leaky injectors.

i was also think it was bad injectors just want to get another opinion from others

It makes sense at least. If they leak, then they'll drip in to the intake and flood the engine. I'm supposing that it's either a) not bad enough to completely flood it, or b) you have a pretty healthy engine so it's really hard to flood in the first place. Either way, you should probably remove them and send them out to get cleaned. Don't just try an in-tank cleaner.... you'll be very disappointed.

i definitely appreciate your help i will have to take them out and have them cleaned for sure and see what my result is
