Dont ask where the big mac came in.

I just bought a 88 SE that runs, along with an entire 86 parts car and lots of other junk.

The 88 runs, but runs like ****. Sounds like a lawnmower, doesnt idle, smells like gas... Im pretty sure the seals are blown.

The engine in the car isnt the original... im not sure what it came out of though. The guy said he had another 7 that got wrecked, and the 88 SE ended up with that engine. The engine out of the 88 SE has 115k miles on it and he told me still ran fine when he took it out. The 87 engine is just no run whatsoever.. probably dead seals.

So overall, i have a total of 3 available engines. I plan to take em apart and piece together 1 nice one hopefully. I guess my question is do you have any siggestions on what to look for while im inside these things as far as what would build the best engines?

BTW.. the 7 is an extra car right now, so downtime is not an issue at all
