88 LTD Turbo Whats it worth?

I'm looking to buy a 88 tenth anniversary turbo with 72,000 mi. that is in mint condition. With all maintenance records from day one.
The blue book on it puts it at $4,200. But what should I pay for it, If I pay what it's worth?

Ha, I have an exact match of exactly that in Dayton, Ohio for $7000. A lot of people will charge over the Blub Book Price, but I drove this car and went to see and it was MINT!

$5500 minimum (i wouldn't even sell it that low if it were mine, but i love FC's)... turbos are awesome and that is a limited edition with a reasonable high demand behind it. and you live in cali so cool cars cost more than a lot of other places.

So $6,500 is an O.K. price. I went to see and drive it and it is incredable. One owner always in the garage factory paint. It's too good to be true but it is.........

We have a free market economy, so you can overpay whatever you like for the car. It is your money to spend, so you may want to consider paying what the car is worth to you rather than what it is worth to others.

Be careful using the word "mint". If it does not fit definition #4 or #5, then it is going to fit #3 and #8.

mint2 (mint), n.
1. a place where coins, paper currency, special medals, etc., are produced under government authority.
2. a place where something is produced or manufactured
3. a vast amount, esp. of money: He made a mint in oil wells.
—adj.
4. Philately. (of a stamp) being in its original, unused condition.
5. unused or appearing to be newly made and never used: a book in mint condition.
—v.t.
6. to make (coins, money, etc.) by stamping metal.
7. to turn (metal) into coins: to mint gold into sovereigns.
8. to make or fabricate; invent: to mint words.
[bef. 900; ME mynt, OE mynet coin < L monta coin, mint, after the temple of Juno Monta, where Roman money was coined]

According to edmunds, right now most 10thAE's with the mileage you are claiming and in outstanding original condition (no mods what so ever, and everything stock, works perfect, does not need anything but gas) are selling at $3000 for dealer trade in, $4000 for private party sale, and $5000 for dealer sale.

But the odds of actually finding a outstanding condition (Exceptional mechanical, exterior and interior condition) as opposed to clean (Some normal wear but no major mechanical or cosmetic problems) are pretty slim.

In good condition subtract about $500 off of each of the above numbers.

In fair condition (may need tires, belts, filters or other items replaced, only a few minor dings or very small body or interior damage such as wear marks on seats or carpet in the need of cleaning), subtract $1000 off of the first figures I posted.

But then again you have those people who say, "There were only 1500 produced, you'll never see one like THIS ever again... So seeing as how there were 1500 made, I'm going to add an extra $3k on the blue book value, FIRM" Atleast that's what the lady in Ohio was like... Man, I loved that car. It was her only child.... And I 'accidently' chirped 2nd gear when she let me drive it.

Check for electrical problems. That is a #1 prob w/ our cars. If the wiper switch works in all settings and the heater/AC comtrols wirk then I'd say grab it.
