Question 88 GXL Exhaust

Im looking to replace my stock exhaust system in my GXL, but I need to know what size piping i should get?? I have a high flow cat and 2 Ractive SS Cannon Style Muflers. I have a non-turbo 13B with no mods at the point. What size piping should i use?? And should i keep the cat and the other crap??? Hope i explained myself. Thx.

2.25" ID size pipe. have the exhaust shop use a pre-fab Y pipe to split the exhaust to go out to the 2 mufflers.

If you go with 2.5" pipe on a stock unported 13b NA with racing beat headers, is that going to cause a big drop in low end? Or should I stick with 2.25" piping unless engine is ported?
