88 GTU Starts, Smokes, Won't Idle, Flood-stalls
Hey all, I would appreciate your thoughts-
'88 GTU N/A, full Racing Beat exhaust with headers: Major flooding issues(I've had a lot of flooding issues with this in the past).
I have to disconnect the fuel injection while cranking until it starts. Once started I have to keep it at least at 2k rpm. Attempts to let idle end in stall. It smokes for about 5 mins upon start, then the smoke mostly clears up. After 5mins of running, a warning beep comes on. I looked in the manual to identify this beeping but couldn't figure it out - there is no pattern, just "beep...beep...beep...beep...etc., without stop.
The battery, plugs and wires are fairly new and I replaced the secondary injectors with ones i bought on the forum because one had a crack in it.
Might the headers be the problem or would the ecu adjust for that?
Does it sound like seals might be shot in the engine?

is your oil or coolant low?
i think the beeps should only happen if your car is running hot, oil/coolant low, redline, and possibly engine accessory problems like power steering
