'88 convertible wiper switch conversion
I'm not sure if this is possible, but I have an '88 convertible and the wiper switch has the normal "stuck on one speed" problem. I have another switch, but it's from a hardtop, so a simple remove and replace won't work.
My question is, can I remove just the wiper portion from the working switch and put in into the convertible switch? Has anyone attempted this before? If so, can you list the steps taken?
Much thanks.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
You just have a bad relay in the switch, I can rebuild it for you or sell you the parts to do it youself.
