I believe it should turn off. Is the only accessory or can you retract the sunroof, run the wipers, etc... with the key out?

yes these do cut off when you turn off the ignition switch. these clocks have had many problems, you are talking about the digital LED clock with all the other warnning icons, right ? if so sounds like some one may have tried to fix a previous problem and wired it up continous hot. a spare clock is a good thing to have, more on that later, i am going to post one on a code reader that i made using the clock-engine monitor cluster. try to find one in the junk yard. check the archives on clock repair, use the search feature on the top right hand side of the page, lots of help here. have you pulled out hte clock yet to see if it has been worked on? you can go to ( iluvmyrx7 ) and download the ENTIRE repair manual on your car, be patient this will take a while, or you can download just the specific section you are looking for. Peace,ex...
