87 Turbo II with blown engine. The guy wants $500. Needs some interior TLC and new engine. I was pricing J-Specs and read the post about all the horror stories and luck of the draw. Are J-Spec engines worth it for $900? If so what should I replace before dropping it in?? If I buy this car I want to do it right..

 

$500 for a T-II in good shape is a GREAT deal, drop the motor in andyou have a $4000+ car for less than $2k

 

got mine for 800. Had three new indigo gauges, S5 blown engine, new blitz blowoff valve and FCD. Brand new clutch (1000 miles and a couple other little new parts. Interior is thrashed all to hell. Needs a new interior complete except for dash...Looks like I will be buying mazdaspeed7s CF parts.
