87 TII air funnel/air hose intake question
I have an 87 TII and the air funnel and air hose piping that goes from the turbo to the AFM is brittle and cracked. We tried to piece some generic Pep Boys plastic elbows, pipes, and couplers together to replace it, but things just didn't fit.
Since I was told that every TII engine has or had this problem, the solution should be pretty popular, but I couldn't find anything written up about this. So, other than shelling out $160 for a new one from Mazda, how do people fix this? Does anyone make any aftermarket TII piping at a more reasonable cost, or is it just a matter of getting the right elbows, pipes and couplers? If so, who sells them? Pep Boys and Salvo just don't have the right parts.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks, and now that I know it's better known as a TID, my searches are much more productive! Most of the battle seems to be knowing what the heck these dumb things are really called - my Chilton's manual had this labeled as the air funnel and air hose.
