87 TII ***CPU**** question

One of the thing's that's supposedly wrong with my 87 TII is that it has a bad CPU - the thing by the driver's left foot, not the ECU under the passenger's feet.

I want to know if that CPU is specific to year/turbo/NA/options? Do I have to get one specific to the S4 TII?

thanks

The 87 T2 uses a FB05 CPU.

The CPU controls the Horn, turn signals, hazard lights, brake lights, warnings, key luminations.

It is found in the drivers kick panel. Cut and paste this link if you need to see exactly where:

I do have rebuilt ones in stock at my webstore. PM me if you need the address.

The Turbo uses the same CPU as the 86-88 GXL and the P package equipped 88 convertibles.

You can also use a FB01 CPU (found on the Base, Luxury, Sport, 88 GTU, 88 SE), but you loose keylight control and door handle lights.
