87 rex with no fuel pump help!!
Ok i got the leading coil to fire, but now i need some fuel, i fixed all the fuel line, now i no ticed that the ground was bad, so i took it off (car satt for 10 years or so ) the bolt broke off, so i cleaned it up till i got a good ground, and use a wire to jump the yelow wire near the air box to make the fuel pump run, when i connect the ground, it makes a spark then the wiere get hot. so im thinking since the car satt for 10 years and all the gas is now varnish it must have a bad fuel pump(stuck) but the screws are so rotted that there just going to brake, now i do have an other car for parts but i want to know how to test the fuel pump so i know it workds and im not just wsting my time, how do you test the fuel pumps on thos cars?

there is a test connector near the air flow meter that is green from memory if you short it out your fuel pump runs. Also turning on the the key runs the pump for about 5 sec it then stops until the air flow meter see's air flow.
