87 non Turbo wont start all of sudden

one day I'm pulling into apartment and it acts like it out of gas but i park it fine. next day it wont start. wont even fire. i put gas in it and it starts up REAL high rev and it dies immediately. i put more gas in tank just to make sure and now it wont even begin to fire. i did the usual routine in case of flood with unpluging fuel pump to start and burn out excess fuel then plug back in but nothing. i replace my very very dirty spark plugs but realize the trailing coil is sparking about half as fast as the leading.

any suggestions?

trailing coils should only fire half as fast as the leading. The leading use wasted spark.

"real high rev" sounds like a major vac leak. What have you changed lately?
