87 GXL rear axle ratio

HI!
What is the rear axle ratio for a 1987 GXL with LSD?
Is it an 8" ring gear?
Thanks!

it's a 4.10 gear on the LSD.. get a 4.30 from a GTU's and you'll be happy.(and one lucky sucker) I just can't find one...

I just got a GTUs rear diff. Got a damn good deal on it to, with only 60k miles

Also it depends on whether it's a 5-speed or auto. The auto will have a 3.9 ratio.

Not necessarily. The 86-88 LSD's were available with either 3.909 or 4.100 depending on the transmission type. A MT would use a 4.10 gear and an AT would use a 3.909 gear.

If your GXL has a MT, than the rear axle ratio is 4.100. If it's an AT, than the gear ratio is 3.909. The 2nd gen RX7 uses a very small ring gear. I believe it's something like 6.75".

Thanks, guys!
This is actually for a "PoorMan's LSD" in a 90 Miata. Once it gets the Turbo, a 4.10 will be fine!
Since I'm new here where can I sell a *primo* 77k miles 88 Anniversary Edition RX7( needs motor...some surprise...).If I don't sell it soon, that damn LT1 Camaro motor might jump in it...
