'87 FC 5 lug conversion. calipers needed?

I am completing a 5 lug conversion on a 1987 FC. I have obtained 5 lug hubs (with rotors that have been turned) and rims. The garage doing the labor has requested that they buy new 1 piston calipers. This FC has 42K miles. The brakes functioned fine with the 4 lug hubs/rims.

What is your opinion. Do I need new calipers for the 5 lug hubs?

yes, that is usually why you do the conversion. 5 lugs come with 4 piston front calipers, and the 4 lug come with 2 piston fronts. But the 4 lug calipers are to small for the 5 lug rotors.

Yes you do.the calipers are Different.the rotor size is slightly different too.You cannot use a four lug Caliper on a Five lug Rotor..Won't FIT.the bracket will rub.also make sure that you get VENTED Rotors and the appropriate Calipers for the Rear Brakes with that Set-up(TII).The front calipers will be Four Piston, with Five lug Vented Rotors.
