87 Clutch Problem
I've had my car now for about a month, and I was driving home from school friday, and my car wouldn't go into 1st or 2nd gear. and when i would press the clutch it would go to the floor and then it would slowly pop back up. then! I was at a red light, and i pushed the clutch down and it wouldn't come back up. And i had to stomp my gas and force my car into 3rd gear to go. Could someone one please help me and tell me what is up with it.
and... could someone tell me why my car sounds like it wants to die everytime it idles. When i first start the car when it is cool (like in the morning) when i drive and i sit in one place it sits at 2k rpm... and doesnt go down for a min or 2, and what would make my car want to die all of the time. I want a car the idles at one rpm... and i can't stand hearin it bogg down and then come back up.
Any help i will be greatful
-thanks

yeah, i use dot4
its right in the corner of the engine compartment on the drivers side on the firewall
oh, and about the idle thing, my car does the same thing, for some reason, if i hold the clutch to the floor and wiggle the shifter in and out of a few gears, it drops to like 800-1200 and will stop the high rev
