Basically what is a good compression reading when looking to buy a used non turbo 86 thur 91 engine. There is this one that this guy is selling the the compression read's 100 psi per side when cold. Is that good?
Have you actually seen it read out at that?
It sounds amazing, but I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it with my own eyes. If that is the case, he must have a low-milage car or a pretty fresh rebuild.

To tell you the truth.
Okay so this car has already been bought but the speedometer gage was reading that the car had 152,00 miles on it. But the engine looks very well maintained has all the records of when the engine oil was changed every 3 thousand miles. In fact i was amazed when i looked under the hood and could not believe how clean it was. So i bought this car anyways and checked the compression myself. Took off both top trailing spark plugs and check each one individually. With the fuse off for the egi when i cracked it (throttle fully open down on my foot, meaning the gas pedal) the compression tested 100 psi. Im wondering if the engine was rebuilt. Anyhow im about to sell the and just did not now what compression read out was good for these motors.
