I found a wrecked 88 7 for 200 bux. Engine and Trans are good. I was gonna get it for the trans. But will the hatch fit an 87. The 88 has the wiper motor and wiper. I was hopeing to swap mine with it. As well as the power windows, locks etc.

 

Yes most everything is interchangeable. The only thing you have to look out for is the minor changes in the engine electrical system. Different impedance injectors, wiring harnesses, ecu's etc. You can do a search on that. Most everything else is the same. Good find have fun
