Sports did not come with a LSD, however it is not unusual for an owner to swap out a GXL rear end that does have a LSD into a sport.

Your sport does not have power windows right???

well see you can't rule out that he does not have a GXL, and just thinks its a sport because it has the 4 piston front brakes and the same 5 lug wheels

my favourite method of determining lsd or not is the tried tested and true burnout patch evaluation method....hehehe

I would imagine that in this case its simply a worn out lsd....mostlikely if it has been swapped in - the diff has gone through at least 2 tours of duty - so more than likely its very worn.........I have had some people claim that their GXL must not have come with an LSD since their GXL couldn't burn both rear skins....however it was only because their diff was toast....

Actually that method only works to tell you, you have poor traction.

Almost any base/SE with the stock wheels/tires you can do that method and break both wheels loose yet they do not have a LSD

Then how come on my 88 Base without LSD (stock when I got it) left a nice patch in a parking lot one afternoon? Not patches. This was on the stock 14" "phone dial" wheels and all season's.

ive had several non lsd rx-7 and sometimes i can get both wheels going every once in a while

,it will only happen if the spidergears and crap inside the diff is aligned just right, then sometimes it will act like a lsd for second or two....

a lot of noise generally means that the wrong gear oil is used or the diff is worn out

Power windows means it is a GXL. Sports did not come with power windows Only GXL (and 91 A package coupes) and Turbo and convertibles came with power windows.

You have a GXL not a sport
