86 RX7 parking brake light

I have a 1986 base-model RX-7 and the parking brake light in the idiot light cluster began working intermittently and then quit altogether. I checked the bulb and it was fine. I doubt it is the switch in the parking brake handle since the light doesn't even come on with all the other lights when I turn on the ignition before starting. Has anyone else experienced this and/or can recommend a fix? I have read the websites on the brake circuit boards/CPU solder problems and wonder if I may be needing a new one. I have a manual transmission.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Open her up and Take a soldering iron to all the solder joints. Mabie apply some new solder. My idiot lights did something like that. and now they work perfect.
