86 rx7 just will not start
sorry if this is a repeated question, I did search a little bit, but wasn't finding the answer to my question. I may be purchasing an 86 rx7, the only problem is that the engine will roll over, but will not start, why, and how to easy to fix?

try pulling the 40A fuse labelled EGI INJ then crank the engine for 20 seconds. Put the fuse back in then try it. If that doesn't work it could possibly be spark plugs or the spark plug cables. It could also not start because it has poor compression. Replacing spark plugs is easy but poor compression really has no permanent fix other than an engine rebuild.

Search for "flooding"... there's much talk about an ATF/Oil injection into the motor. I personally subscribe to the "pull-start" method, which involves borrowing your dad's 90 Dodge Caravan, a tow chain/rope and about 1/2 a block.. tie up the seven, put it in second, and drive up the street, if it doesn't start it, then it's a problem in the fuel injection system (pump dead?) or something of the like.. hope this helps..
