Can anyone haelp me? I sprayed GUNK heavy duty gel all over my engine to clean it, i followed directions, but it left a white filmy residue all over my engine and engine compartment, tried soap and water to remove, but didny work. Does anyone know how to remove this white filmy residue from the GUNK heavy duty Gel?

my engine is painted, will it hurt my paint and what about the hoses?

 

I would try Simple Green, or Purple Power degreasers. It will not hurt your paint or any lines.

Simple green, purple power, even oven degreasers like 409 will work wonders and not harm painted surfaces. Just be careful when rinsing it off to avoid hitting electrical stuff. Ask me how I know
