You wont lose, trust me. First off its a del-slow,second I used to race my boy home everyday in his modded del-slow,in my bone stock 87 n/a. I would get home, and be parked by the time he got there.Put some $$$$ on it,it'll be quick cash!!

I didn't think there was such thing as a DelSol Si. I could be wrong though. I also don't think you will have a problem with the car. If you were running the original cats and catback, then it might be close, but since you said you are putting on the midpipe can catback, you should have no problem.Unless he has some major motor work done to the car.

My 88 GXL has beaten Civic Si's on a regular basis and I have kept up with a VTECH Prelude from about 60 to 130+. It was neck and neck, his shift put me slightly ahead, then I would shift and he would be slightly ahead.

If its a VTEC Del Sol, youre going to get spanked. If not, you shouldnt have much of a problem.

My buddy had a Del Sol with the base motor in it....IT was so slow it couldnt get outta its own way. My 87 base is twice as fast..
