86 N/A S4 . . Vacuum spider replacement
Anybody got any ideas on how to replace this?. . . Am I going to Mcmaster Carr and building an adapter?
I'm asking in advance because the large hose is freaking old. . . . And given my experience trying to remove the large hose might yield a broken nipple on that spider.
Anybody got any ideas how to remove that hose without breaking the plastic nipple?. . .The spin technique seems to have high success.
I ordered the hose cause it's still available so I won't touch it for a couple days.
The adapter only has an upper temp of 175f. . .Maybe I can relocate it away from the high temp areas. .. .Or I can change to a manifold with barb fittings.
One last question. . . Check I vacuum check this spider in place by applying vacuum to the large diameter hose from the intake? . . .Doing so would check the spider and small diameter hoses. . .They go to the oil injectors?
